|I entered the house easily. It was not locked. It looked filthy and there was a (1) musty smell about it that irritated my nose. I surveyed the place for a while. Satisfied that it was unoccupied, I breathed a heavy sigh of relief and sat down to rest. The rain continued to fall (2) relentlessly. Before I knew it, I fell asleep.|
When I finally awoke, it was already dusk. It was then that I began to feel frightened. I wondered what my parents would feel. After a short while, darkness (3) enveloped the house and fear crept into my heart. "When can I get home?" I asked myself (4) countless times. I cringed in a little corner and hoped and prayed that dawn would come soon.
When the sun finally rose again, my joy knew no bounds knowing that I could go home and see my parents at last. However, my joy was (5) short-lived when I heard quickened footsteps approaching the house. My heart pounded as I awaited for my fate.
